Pneumatic Mechanical Unit Injector Test Stand For EMD Locomotives
SLVMR (Indian) Unit Injector Test Stand Model SNT-P has been specifically designed for MUI of GM Locomotives. The unit Injector Test Stand Model SNT-P has a very special feature incorporated for the first time for testing of injector characteristics. This includes the inlet supply to the MUI with the help of a hydraulic pump coupled with motor. The second and most important feature of the Unit Injector Test Stand Modal SNT-P is that instead of manual stroke the stroke to the MUI is given by pneumatic cylinder.

- Holding pressure and Leak Test
- Rack Freeness Test
- Binding Plunger Test
The Unit injector Test stand Modal SNT-P consists of steel fabricated structure having the following sub -assemblies;-
- Spray Chamber with Pneumatic Cylinder Assembly
- Control panel with instrument panel
- Fuel tank with strainer, fuel supply system, fuel connection, stopper and connecting pipe
- Discharge tank assembly

Spray Chamber with Pneumatic Cylinder Assembly
The spray chamber with Pneumatic Cylinder Assembly provides the base for mounting of MUI with the help of a spacer, illumination while checking the characteristics of the MUI and pneumatic Cylinder (which has got a moveable and rotating hinge support )giving a full stroke at any time when the button meant for the purpose is pressed. The air connection to the pneumatic cylinder via pipe connected after the Air Regulator cum Moisture Drain.
Control Panel with instrument panel
The control panel houses various control switches for control of down-stroke and up-stroke of the pneumatic cylinder, switching on the timer, switching on the bulb in the spray chamber, providing all the controls on the front side. The control panel also houses the various controls for controlling the pressure hydraulic circuit and connection point for high pressure parts closeness checking for the MUI. The high pressure steel pipe is connected to the connection point and then to MUI. The stop valve is meant for releasing and controlling the pressure to the inlet line to the MUI.
